What’s an EPIC rally?

Twice a year, we sponsor what we call 'creative rallies' — 8 intense, fun weeks of collaboration — which pair hand-picked volunteers from the advertising and design community with Chicago-based nonprofit clients focused on education, children, and families.

Who will be there?

  • Heavyweights from the ad and design community

  • Rockstars who want to support bringing social change to Chicago

  • Smart people who love beer

  • You, hopefully!

EPIC gearing for strong Spring 2019 Rally Season

Pardon our dust! EPIC is retooling for a strong return to the social good spotlight in 2019, our 10th anniversary year. We are rebuilding our core team to recruit non-profits, build creative rally teams and celebrate our successful rallies. And you can help.

We are looking for more team members to help with creative team recruiting, digital communications, events planning and non-profit vetting. Just a few hours per week can help us continue to make a big difference for needy non-profits throughout greater Chicago.

If you're interested, please contact Executive Director Mark Drozd m.drozd@yoursimpletruth.com

Thanks, everyone, for continuing to be EPIC!

EPIC Launches 54th, 55th and 56th Rallies for fall '17.

Here we go again! EPIC is proud to announce we have launched three rallies for our Fall '17 rally season. Each team kicked off this past week and will complete its creative mission before the holidays. The non-profits our teams will focus on are:

Neighborhood Parents Network: They are dedicated to helping a diverse community of Chicago families connect with the resources they need to navigate parenting in the city.

She Should Run: EPIC is establishing a Chicago presence for this national organization that provides the resources and networking for women leaders considering a future run for public office.

Chicago Debate Commission: They empower Chicago youth to find their voice, succeed in college and career and become community leaders through the transformative power of debate.

You can expect some inspiring creative work from our rally teams for these three dynamic organizations. They represent the 54th, 55th and 56th rallies EPIC has created since our founding in 2009.

Stay tuned for updates, and watch this space for news of our rally celebration for our teams in January!

EPIC Celebrates The Dovetail Project and Reading Is Fundamental Rallies.

EPIC recently toasted the end of another Rally season in style with an EPIC 20/20 and Rally Party. We celebrated the rally teams and work completed for The Dovetail Project and Reading is Fundamental.

The Dovetail Project gives young African American fathers the life skills and support they need to be better fathers to their children and better men for their community. The rally team completed a branding, identity and web site project under the direction of Laureen Feeny and Kelly Butler.

Reading is Fundamental Chicago worked with Rightpoint, a digital agency who served as EPIC agency for the project. RIF Chicago is a strong advocate for child literacy, distributing more than 4,000,000 new books to 94 local schools. The team developed a new logo and responsive web site under the direction of Sona Allen and Joaquin Grimaldo.
